The Red River shapes our neighbourhood and provides a beautiful ribbon of forested green space that provides access to nature, recreation, and community gardening. It is also an area of riparian habitat that is impacted by the various stresses of seasons, flooding, and diseases. How do we look towards the future in consideration of improving the health of this valuable community place? Understanding the forest is the first step to helping it. Please join Trees Riverview for a community information meeting on our neighbourhood riverbank health. We will be joined by three experts to discuss the riverbank and forest from geotechnical, ecological, and social perspectives, followed by a Q&A session.
