Registration

Pickleball equipment has been purchased and we are hosting regular Monday morning and Thursday evening drop-ins in the hall throughout the winter, and are planning on also using the new, paved rink in the summer. If there is interest, we may also offer additional clinics throughout the year, so stay tuned for more.

Mondays: 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Thursdays: 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Sessions resume January 9th.

Timeslots are each one hour and accept 4 players each.

We are accepting registrations for January. This program is currently aimed at beginners. Click the buttons below to sign up through our new registration system. If you are having any trouble with the new system, please feel free to reach out to bugle@riverviewcc.ca

We will be collecting $5 per drop-in, and you can pay in person with cash or card. In the new year, we will be transitioning to an 8-week pass system for $40.

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong. It is played with oversized paddles, which are larger than ping pong paddles. Plastic balls with holes in them are hit. The court is badminton-sized (36 inch high), and you can play singles or doubles (2 players per side).

One game can take 15-20 minutes and continues until someone hits 11 points. Players often play 3 or 4 games.

There are many benefits, including an aerobic workout, it tones muscles, improves agility, and you make new friends!
