Celebrate our urban greenspace!
Join us for Fisher Park Tree Day & Annual Meeting featuring tree care demonstrations, guided walks, local history, community partners, and opportunities to learn more about the park we all enjoy.
Fisher Park Tree Day & Annual Meeting
Join Friends of Fisher Park for an afternoon of trees, nature, and community as we celebrate and learn about the urban greenspace at the heart of Riverview.
Meet local experts and community organizations who are helping to care for and enhance our park. Learn how Green Drop Trees protect our heritage elms from Dutch Elm Disease, discover the Trees Riverview stewardship program, join an arborist-led walk with Trees Winnipeg, and hear the fascinating story of how Fisher Park and its trees came to be. Riverview Ashland Child Care Centre will also be sharing information about its Forest Nursery Program, and Manitoba-grown White Spruce seedlings will be available to take home while supplies last.
Whether you’re interested in trees, birds, local history, or simply spending time outdoors with neighbours, there’s something for everyone.
