Tree and Community People– As spring approaches, there will be another mass planting of diverse native trees/shrubs in Churchill Park next month. Cameron Rum; is back this year as the main contact for coordinating volunteer help with tree planting on the riverbanks. We are planning two dates at the Churchill Drive:
Evening event:
Tuesday May 14th
6:00pm-8:00pm
Riverbank near Montgomery Ave & Churchill Drive Planting location
Weekday event
with Churchill High School students:
May 10th
9:30am-3:30pm
Riverbank near Montgomery Ave & Churchill Dr Planting location
Note: they could accommodate only a small group of additional volunteers from the community (e.g. up to 10 volunteers), because they will already have a big group of high school students planting that day.
